Thank you, veterans! English Crossing Elementary hosted local veterans during its school assembly.
Students practice and prepare for assemblies as they would any major performance, including a final run-through of all the elements the day before the assembly. Fifth graders practiced playing their recorders, bells and chimes and other students sang and performed their choreography.

Children who will start kindergarten in the 2026-27 school year can apply for Lakewood’s free, full-day Transitional Kindergarten program, which is scheduled to begin by the end of January 2026.
This program will provide a strong educational foundation for kindergarten. Students must be 5 by August 31, 2026. The priority deadline to apply is December 5, 2025. The class is open to all students living in the Lakewood School District attendance area. The class will have 17 openings.

Over the river and through the woods… our talented young stars at English Crossing Elementary are ready to take you on a whimsical journey in this fresh twist on the classic, Red Riding Hood.
A huge thank you to the English Crossing Elementary PTA for making this weeklong residency with Missoula Children’s Theatre a reality. Students have spent the last week after school memorizing lines, songs and movements.
